Help. I went out to a local school here in Southern NJ that has a leak in one part of the loop field. Loop was losing approximately 2,500 gallons/ day for several months. Soil is very sandy. Water never came to soil surface. Part of loop field is asphalt covered. Loop is approximately 10 years old. Loop was hit and repaired by plumbing contractor 10 years ago. No info on repairs. Any advice on easy way to find this leak. Trying to save NJ taxpayers from high bill. Good news with 20 percent of field off line ewt is 54 degrees and rwt 44 degrees with recent cold snap.

With that much performance from the loopfield at 80% capacity, may be it is an option to keep the leaking loopfield off line permanently and do nothing but monitoring. May be it was oversized to begin with. Or did the 2500 gallons per of of replenished water at 60 degrees help to keep the temperature up? I assume no antifreeze?
