1. Clare, Michigan
2. lost all heat to home
3. Geomax 2 Model #HTV060A1C01JRK  3yrs old
4. pump and dump

All I am really looking for is a code for the error.  It looks like a "lockout" code but I don't know how to disconnect power to the control as the manual tells me to do.  All I know is it is not working and either is the aux heat.

I need to know where to start.  Can you help me?

I have a fast flashing orangish yellow light on the control board. After I reset it, it will blink slow then after a while goes back to the fast flash.  All the while it never puts out heat.

So you did figure out how to reset system?
While I appreciate brevity, you are offering little to go on.
Does anything happen besides the blinking light? i.e. fan runs, compressor comes on.........

I do not see a reset button so we cut power to the system completely.  When we turn it back on it doesn't reset.  Everything works in air conditioning mode.  Heat mode fan runs on low and eventually goes to a "lockout" code on the control and auxillary heat turns on but doesn't work.  Fan stays low and does not put out heat.  It's almost like it is heating up and the fan is not turning on high, so the system shuts down.  Or  it doesn't recoginize heat mode so the fan won't turn on.

If compressor comes on in cool it would generally come on in heat.....
though it may eventually lock out.
how do you know everything works in cool (compressor in particular).

We turned the air conditioning mode on and it worked.  Water pumped in, compressor turned on and air circulated out....cool air.

I guess the question is, why is it locking out in heat mode and not cool mode?

What your postings seem to indicate is that the compressor never comes on in heating. That is what I am trying to understand. So, in heating mode does ater pump in and the compressor run a little while when first re-set?
If the answer is yes.....
Most common reason for a pump and dump to lock-out would be poor waterflow. Check upstream sediment filters, make sure you are getting at least ~8GPM.
Other possibilities are fouled coax, faulty sensor.......
If the answer is no, then I need more info.
