Desuperheater setup

Background info: New construction home, lake loop, estimated EWT 90*F, Charlotte NC, 2 ton Climatemaster Tranquility 27 in walkout basement, 3 ton CM T27 on main level. HVAC contractor is recommending the following desuperheater setup: The main level heat pump desuperheater routed to a buffer tank. The lower level desuperheater routed to the main tank. Why not run both systems through the buffer tank to recover the waste heat? Thanks.

Desuperheaters plumbed to powered waterheaters don't work well since the main tank reheats itself fairly quickly, leaving nowhere for desuperheaterto store heat. Even worse, desuperheater may extract heat from powered water tank, especially in low stage.

You are right Don't see any sense in that proposal, you are right to question that.
