Bill NeuKranz, jonr, joe ami and geodude (if I left some off my apology)

I hope it is okay to use your User IDs in the title because I want you to see it. If not let me know how to remove it and I will.

First of all if someone would be so kind as to tell me how to mark my post as closed I will close this one and my original one.
Secondly, I am going to take Bill’s advise and ratchet back here, collect some more data and do my home work. In fact I have already visited http://www.welserver.com/ . There are several options of which I do not understand so I will call the company and see what configuration would solve the majority of my needs.

Third Thank You all for the help, insights and guidance.

I have attached two charts (should be read as one but I had to get it under 100kB) for you. (because I feel I need to defend myself a little and let everyone know it was never my intent to waste your valuable time) The charts are my actual electricity usage from my utility company showing the kWh for a 13 SEER A/C and then kWh for the GSHP.
You will have to go on good faith that our usage patterns have not changed one bit.
I have had a complete energy audit of our home completed, including vent leaks and blower door test etc. We have a HERS Index of 93. I was told this is very good.
The sq. ft. of conditioned space we are talking about is 2221
I really wrote this as a single post no reply required or expected, however expect to see me back when I have more data.

You put me in good company, but, in fact, I'm a 'lightweight' particularly compared to the likes of Joe ami, geodean, Dana, docjenser and Engineer.

Your numbers show that you're paying about $50/month for cooling a 2200 sf structure with a tstat setting down at 70 degrees (6000 kWh / 5 months * 0.5 for rest of house * 10 cents).

If you had a 13 SEER A/C and you changed to a properly installed operating geo HP, and nothing else changed, or at least didn't degrade, then you should have seen dramatic savings at least on a percentage basis.  I'd be all over this too if you're not seeing the savings.

If you're going to set up some monitoring, I'd be sure to collect CDD.

Best regards,

Bill
