Hello all, I would like to know if my Geothermal system is running like it is supposed to. Location is southern middle TN.
System info: Carrier GT-PX 50YD 4 Tons, 2 300ft wells, 1" loops, 1.25" headers, 20% Poly. Glycol, Bentonite, well cased to 100ft, water between 60-85ft, 1 Wilo Star S 30 pump (.97 A @ 244V), 2700 SQ Ft home, 2500 SQ ft basement, Ecobee thermostat set at 73 degrees, 1.5 deg differential (1st stage 71 - 73, 2nd stage 70, and Aux 10kw + 2nd stage 69 and below) Reverse stage is on, 1st winter.
House Average KW usage is 63 KW ($5.55 @ $.0882c/kw) since 1/14. Highest was 85 KW when the low reached 0 degrees F that night. The inside temp stayed at 70-71 with the unit never reaching set point until the next morning.
1st Stage @ steady state, HWG on. HWG set at 150 F.
EWT: 39.3 F LWT: 34.1 F Delta: 5.2 F
EWP: 44.2 PSI LWP: 40.8 PSI Delta: 3.6 PSI
EAT: 70 F LAT: 93 F Delta: 23 F
I am not sure what the water flow is. The manual indicates that a pressure drop of 3.7 PSI (Water only) @ 40 F is 11 GPM. If I multiply 3.6 PSI x estimated correction factor of 1.29 = 4.6 PSI, which is of the charts. am I doing this right? |
