I am looking to replace my thermostats on my existing water furnace system. I'm tired of messing with my chronotherm iv's, they're always needing to be reset and I'm just done with em! My house has two units: the upstairs is all on its own zone, the downstairs is split up in to two zones. The existing thermostats are the kind that don't use batteries (not sure if that matters when buying new ones?) Obviously I need programmable thermostats, but what I would really like is to be able to control everything via wifi (or at least be able to control the downstairs via wifi). Can you guys please give me some suggestions on what to get? Is the Nest thermostat compatible? Thanks!

I use the ecobees

I used White Rogers for a long time.  Look for 1F95-1271 or 1F95-1291.  5 year warranty.  Commercial quality.  You can't go wrong using these.  In fact, the 1271 is the tstat WF uses, private labeled.

I used Ecobee for a while, as I wanted Wi-Fi access.  Finally gave up on them.

Now replacing my Ecobee (commercial) stats with Network Thermostat (including connecting via Ethernet).
