I have an existing oil fired hot water baseboard heat with central AC. I would like to replace all with geothermal. I'm looking for an installer who will design and install all aspects of the system in Hyde Park, NY. recommendations, not ads please.
TIA,
Robb |

Dandelion is working in your area: https://dandelionenergy.com/ They have an unusual business model that sometimes lets them come in lower than the typical small company geo installers (whom they usually subcontract out some or all of the work to.) They seem to focus on replacing oil fired hot air systems, but may (or may not) be able to dual-purpose your pre-existing AC ducts. Just up the river from you in Rhinebeck they are even speculatively drilling in the ground loops in front of houses (on public property) on the presumption that many of those will make the conversion the next time oil prices spike: https://dandelionenergy.com/earth-powered-heating-rhinebeck-ny/ |

that looks like the same group my Google search turned up. I have a proposal from one of them that is not very detailed. One of the others returned my first call and said he would call back but additional attempts to connect with him have failed. This has me feeling like I need direct referrals. |

Dandelion is working in your area:
I've seen previous posts in the forum for Dandelion. When I went to their site previously (and again just now) I filled out their website request for contact form. It says "Dandelion is currently working on a new and improved home geothermal offering for Summer 2018." I do hope to hear from them soon.
Thanks |

May be late but Chuck Russo out of Castleton 0n Hudson is a great choice. He has a duct designer who can size your ductwork properly so that you get max comfort with minimum pump. Many people don't really think the whole system. |
