Hey fellow GHP enthusiasts,
I'd like to know what you all think of pipe spacers for U-bend pipes for increased thermal exchange rate. They can reduce the total depth/number of boreholes by 10-20%, but they are a pain to install. Because of that, they got a bad reputation.
Here at Geo-Air Industries, we designed pipe spacers the ΩMEGA EZ-Snaps by keeping in mind the flaws of the other pipe spacers, such as the GEO-CLIP and the Dog-Bone:
1. It does not slide or unclip (which can happen with the dog-bone);
2. It installs really fast;
3. Most importantly, it allows insertion or reinsertion of the tremie pipe at any time! That’s because of the Ω shape.
The EZ-Snaps are now used in almost all Vertical GHP projects in the province of Quebec, Canada. Awareness still has to be raised in the U.S, tho.
Would reducing the installation costs of vertical GHP by 10-20% be worth installing the EZ-Snaps for you? Any feedback is appreciated!
Feel free to ask me anything,
