New user here. Just found the forums in my ongoing search for a manual.
I own a 1997 vintage WFI Premier 2 geo (ATV057110CLT), and the stat is WFI branded TA32U02 *I THINK* (circuit board is Carrier?? - CESS430110-01C stamped on it). The WFI coil is leaking; tech added MaxSeal in a temporary attempt to prolong the unit's useful life, and we're still awaiting that to plug the hole(s).
Meanwhile, however, the stat will not put the unit into stage 2 cooling (it's mid July and HOT in Ohio -- for a native Ohioan, anyway) - it consistently displays Energy Saving mode. I can get into the stat's programming; however, I can find a manual for the stat absolutely NOWHERE online (and do not have the hard copy). I've contacted WFI via their web form, but haven't gotten a reply in 2 days.
The pump cools the house overnight in this mode, but it would be nice for it to shift into high gear when appropriate.
Any advice on how to "fix" the problem? I poked around the WFI manual in case a DIP switch setting on the geo might be off, but the tech did not see anything amiss, and my novice knowledge of the system combined with looking at the manual did not recognize any issues SW1: 010111101111, SW2:01100001, SW3:01111. I checked the status lights, and they confirm only Y1, O signals are coming from the stat, even though there's 10+ degrees difference between setting and actual temperature.
I appreciate your taking the time to look at this, and any guidance you might be able to provide!!
Blessings!
Phil
PS: Given the 22 years the WFI has been in service, I fully expect a replacement soon - just would prefer Autumn instead of mid-summer. I'm open to any opinions and guidance on that front, too. It is a closed-loop system, with 80-gal AOSmith water heater, no "pre-heat" tank.
