I live in a high rise with a closed loop WSHP in each condo. Boiler and cooling tower on the roof. Recently the buildings engineer replaced the circulator pump and he clearly increased the gpm going thru the system. You can now hear and feel the water flowing through the pipes, they used to be silent.
Out of curiosity I monitor the Delta T of my inlet and outlet water supply and after this change my Delta T in cooling mode dropped from 10 degrees to 4 degrees. In heating mode its went form 6 to 3.
Supply temps of the water are kept between 65 in winter and 80 in summer. My system is a 2 ton FHP
Does this change in Delta have any bad consequences for my system? Could this change efficiency for the good or bad?
