Good morning!
I've been doing a lot of research into other systems instead of precast concrete systems and SIPs and found structural repairs or emergencies arising from damage to these systems can be possible and expensive
EIFS is something that I'm looking into which combines an easily repairable system (if compromised) mounted on Gypsum board sheathing (hopefull no wood) or a 4x8 plastic/wood composite as the drainage barrier. Behind the gypsum (or plastic wood) would be 2x4 structural wood with either more foam or fiberglass batts containing pipes and wiring. In this way if one needs to hide or repair damaged wiring or pipes you can simply rip down the interior gypsum to repair. I think in this way I wouldn't have to call and fly in a "technical" specialist if the repairs can be done by myself. Usually if it's a large scale repair, the home was probably misengineered from the beginning, but if done correctly, this is a viable alternative.
Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated!
