Hi,
We are currently developing a full scale solution for building low income green housing, focusing on thermal insulation.
Reality: Over 400,000 homes/year are being built in Mexico using in-situ casting with regular concrete (4 inch walls) resulting in very cheap construction and very poor insulation. Making the "worst" houses form a green stand point not to mention the poorest living conditions for the owners.
Reality: The mexican low income housing developers cannot aford increase in costs.
Reality: We have developed, with Australian engineers, a very efective wall building system based on precast celular concrete interlocking blocks (www.litebuilt.com.mx).
Problem: We cannot find a cost efective insulating roof building system, does anybody have a viable product/idea???
Problem: does anybody know how to dramatically raise the compresive strenght of celular concrete so it can be used instead of regular concrete in in-situ casting???
Thanks!
