I hear you can buy 95%-recycled drywall from CGC and other major players, at about the same price as the new stuff. Is there any reason not to buy the recycled stuff, given that the new stuff requires intensive mining? Has anyone experienced any problems with it (e.g., cutting, stiffness, warping, longevity)?
Thanks,
...Terry

Take a look at the about document by California Recycling; should be very useful to you.

Is there a way to make sure it's not recycled from the defective Chinese drywall being ripped out of homes?
