Hi all,

I'm pretty new to the forum here. I've been a carpenter in Portland, OR for a few years, and looking for a really good field reference manual, one that I could use for going on my own. I was recommended the JLC field manuals. Are they worth it? Is there a better option? I'm doubtful that they will include a lot of the current sustainable building practices, but that's ok, a window has to get installed correctly whether it's a crappy vinyl or wood right?

Thanks for the forum and for any insights.

Justin
