I'm in the process of doing a manual J heat calculation using version 7.

I have a two story house with a full basement and a first floor addition that has a crawlspace built slightly below grade.

When I calculated the floor of the first floor addition, I selected 19-A (since the crawlspace has no insulation).

When I do the basement, do I also do a separate calculation for the crawlspace? Of does the floor calculation above sufficient?

If I do calculations for the crawlspace, what do I use for the floor of the crawlspace? I didn't see anything in the tables for just earth.

Thanks,
Todd

The load caused by the crawl space is added to the floor above.
