What if you have a heat-dominant climate but still  have a large application needing more Cooling than you want to buy with GeoThermal? Maybe ducting is an issue, maybe not.

It appears mutual greener benefits can be achieved by a simple addition of a differential-control of programming or component, -inexpensively; and some thoughtFULL predesign schemes -.

More useful combination(s) seems considerably acceptable for seasonally intermittent weather changes in short periods while a ground loop is less efficiently useful for cooling, climbing above (an earlier in-field ECL gle standard) 77-degrees entering a system of low circulation wattage (that for considered "high efficiency")

interesting conversation with Dr Steve kavanaugh, years ago reminded me to search about - to refresh:
Noting hybrid Geo-T
Offices using w:w chillers and GT Systems  (similar in function) with cooling towers or dry-coolers attached to ground loops for more efficient cooling

(can search :  kavanaugh hybrid source geothermal  to see 1996-1998 applies more than ever today)

and more and Residentially general as well (well- borehole- GT --- Hah!)

(however, make adjustments to "TON" per loop information/installation, please)

A lot of what I read says that mini splits can have similar efficiency without the cost of wells. I think one should compare the 2 systems and see which makes more sense.

No question that one could add an outside air/water heat exchanger to a geo system and use it when the air temp is better than the ground loop temperature. Might even be worth it to use it to heat/cool the ground loop - eg, on an unseasonably warm 50F winter day, use the air to warm up the 35F ground loop.

Thank you.
Standard GT has met its match i see also.
GT with 100% HW in recovery (loop pumps- off line)
can be used in restaurants or anywhere a 2-3 ton on up for needed HW , etc. heating---
EVEN WITH NO LOOPS, too
and the options of blower-coils sharing with HYDROZONE chilled water seems to fit where minis may with selected fancoils .

Watching for more from U 2
