Hi All,
We are thinking of installing a rainwater collection system and we were wondering how much of a storage capacity we will need. We live in Greensboro, NC. I can get the annual rainfall data and measure the square footage of the roof, and when it rains, it pours here so I imagine a pretty large container would fill up on a rainy week. But then the question is: How much water will we need to water the garden? And, how long is there between the rainfalls that would refill the tank? Ideally, we would want to have a large enough tank that would be nearly depleted by the time new rainfall arrives. I browsed around the Internet, but I did not find an easy way to calculate this. Any advice?
Thanks!
