how are most people handling this? There is about 1800 sqft of basement floor, and I need to add 6-7" of rock to the floor. There is not a ramp dug into the basement currently. One option is a belt rental, but not sure how much those rent for. It still needs spread around, so I thought maybe I would dig a ramp into the hole (one part is only about -4' so not too deep) and then bring it down with a bobcat and spread it. This would obviously take a lot of trips up and down. any thoughts on the matter?

This is a new house? If so, the excavator can dump it into the basment, then you can spread it with the bobcat, then rake.

new house correct. excavator is already gone and done.
I can get a conveyor for under $100/day. That is probably the best route I am thinking?

Is the rock already there? If its not get a foundation contractor with a rock shooter, works slick.

Shooter trucks can be loaded and arranged by the quarry or gravel company.
You can also do it with a couple laborers shoveling the gravel into a 20 foot stick of 12" rigid poly drainpipe.
