I'm about to purchase a HRV for my basement.  The basement is well insulated and sealed with ICF walls, mostly below grade, hydronic heating, and will not have much of a heating load at just over 1000 sf.  It is a separate apartment from the main house.  I'm considering a Broan HRV90HS, mostly because of its low cost and wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on Broan or could recommend a better brand/model in the same price range - $600 plus wall control panel and bath timer.  HVI rates it pretty average on efficiency, but a primary consideration for choosing this model are the ports out the front and back.  The HRV will have 3 exhaust vents, with the largest in the bathroom, so it needs to be powerfull enough to take 80 cfm min. from the the bath.
