As you all know from my first post I am just trying to learn more about being Green so I can build our home to be energy efficient. I have read about the Dow- Sis Structural Sheathing that is now produced by a company called Ox that offers an insulated panel that can be either 3R or 5.5R, I have also read about the Zip R panels that offer both a 3.6 and 6.6 panel. Last night during my research online I stumbled across another Insulated Structural Sheathing. It's called the C-SIS panel. They offer 2 panels, one that is 1 1/8" inch and R6 and one that is 2 1/8" that has an R value of R12. I'm not nearly as knowledgeable as many here on this site. Has anyone else heard of this and if so what do you think of the product? Here is the website address http://compositepanelbuildingsystems.com/products/composite-structural-insulated-sheathing/ The gentleman I spoke with said that the R12 panels run about $3.75 per sq. ft. but with their special screws and tape it actually cost about $4.25 per sq. ft. Thoughts?

I apologize for the run on paragraphs, apparently I have not figured out how to format paragraphs yet on this forum.
