COuld someone share the proper way to do this? I have the windows furred out, and a Tyvek strip at the top tucked under a slit, over the header, taped and extending over the side a few inches on each side. This strip when folded down folds over the furring strip even with the R/O edge at top of window opening. The furring is also applied with a bead of 100% silicone caulk around the edge of the entire window except the bottom edge. My questions are should I run a strip of Tyvek down the sides? Should I tape over the entire furring strip? Or leave it bare wood to promote better drying?

Do you have a picture? Your description alone sounds like an alley abortion.
