Hello all! I have an issue with how my contractor installed the polyiso foam on my flat roof.
The contractor just layered all the foam on top of the roof deck without any sort of wood structure or backing for trim. Then he had the flat roofer put a metal fascia on that is only 4".
So, there is ~8" difference between the bottom of the metal fascia and the roof deck structure on the high side and 4" or so on the low side.
I am trying to figure out a solution to cover that gap. I would prefer to run the trim up to the lip but I am not aware of any anchor that can just screw/expand into polyiso enough to hold a trim board such as miratec (we have to have fire retardant trim).
If there are no anchors then I'm looking at a cantilever or riveting additional metal into the existing drip cap to cover the opening.
The exterior walls are 2x6 with 2x1" layers of polyiso. The roof is 4x2" layers of polyiso with container-based green roof on top.
Anyone have any ideas here?
