Thought I would pass this on: It was in Builder or some periodical like that. Build interior walls 3/4" to 1" short and fasten the top plate with a steel gusset plate. Insulation, poly and drywall is nice and continuous. If I remember correctly it was developed by an energy building program and code approved. I think it would work well with the exception of wiring would have to jump above or below the plates and back into either wall.
