My geo Thermal system was installed January 2013, a Bosch TA series.  Ever since then, I have noticed a coating of dust on all my storage boxes, counters, etc. on that side of the basement.  I have the retailer-furnace people do a seasonal check with filter replacement, and they can't tell me why this is happening.
I never had it so dusty with my previous furnace/central air before.
Does anyone know why this could be?  And, how to prevent it?
It is a real chore to 'wash off' cardboard boxes!  They just can't be dusted, as this stuff just clings.
I'd appreciate any light anyone could shed on this.
Thanks!

That's a new one...LOL!

The problem is likely associated with a dirty HVAC filter or your vacuum system. If you want to largely eliminate dust completely, consider getting a central vacuum system that exhausts everything outside in lieu of the standard vacuums that just saturates a building with super fine particles.

Geothermal systems and furnaces do not create dust, but because they have a fan they do move it around. If your system was used through the duct work before the drywall was complete, it is likely that you need the geo and the ducts cleaned.

HI: Did you have any other changes? Years ago we added a quality ozone unit in our home and the dust was "weighted" or dropped by particles that made dust fall on everything, and it was explained that we are not breathing that anymore- as much. This may not apply - I would understand.

Ozone is poison. No one in their right mind puts it in a home.
