I am looking at how to attach a motorized awning into the exterior wall of SIP construction. The height is 9 ft off the deck. What is the recommended way to do that as there are no studs. Thanks

will it have supporting arms?
If so a simple ledger should work
If it just goes straight out you need a backing plate on the interior.

The instructions say find the studs and attach to them. Is there any special molly bolt/anchor that is used to attach the ledger? It is going into OSB.

hi dpj012, I would encourage you to post the question over in the SIP sub-forum to see if you may get some more input.
