I'm looking for recommendations and referrals for GCs in the Twin Cities - the one we've been working with thus far has reverted to a party line of "If it's 'different', it costs more." which has has become increasingly frustrating. While we're looking to build a home that is efficient (and economical), we're not trying do so with outlandish construction methods (especially not for folks that frequent this site). It's pretty clear that the GC we're in contact with now isn't interested in much other than tossing up a standard 2x6 stick build with their 'standard package', even though they bill themselves as a 'customer builder'. So, any recommendations for GCs in my area that fit the bill? Thanks!

YES! There are three Certified Passive House Builders on the PHIUS website - two in the twin cities and one in Lake St Croix Beach. Talk to them.
