Hello, I would like to have built in S.W. Va. Blue Ridge Mountains an ICF 6" @3000ft. I need help in pricing: The house will be shaped in a rectangle with a 12ft wrap-around porch. The basement will have one side open for a walk out on a slow grade hill. The other 3 sides will be below grade 30"X 70" with 10 ft walls. All services run through the basement upward. The main floor will be 30" X 70" with 10" walls. Th roof will be Stick with spray foam metal roofing. Sorry, I am unable to download a picture in attachments. It must be over 100MB...

Does anyone know of an Architect that would be able to give me an idea of what it takes to build an ICf 6" home? I have plans from a firm that gave me permission to use but these plans would need to be modified-- specifically the roof grade. I could E-mail the plans via a PM if possible. Thanks for any help you can give...

Your question of cost is way too general to even take a guess at. Depending upon finish levels, around here it would run at least $125 square foot, up to the sky is the limit. You'll have much better luck talking to a local ICF builder.

jdebree thank you, that gives me a start. I was mostly interested in just the 30' X 70' with 10' high walls for the basement and the main floor to be built with 6" icf logix blocks.

A rule of thumb a few years ago was $12-$15 per square foot of wall area (including window and door openings) for ICF installed.

Thank you, that helps very much. Sorry to be a bore-ass but I have no experience with the build of an icf home. I know that I want one for our final retirement home. I will need to find a contractor who knows icf homes so that I can show the plan that an Architect has given me to use.
