Don't use foam board, it could melt.

My house has Cree led can disks, commercial electric is a little cheap. They are less than $20 at the electric distributor which let's anyone come in and buy, I've paid as low as $10. HD had Cree for awhile, maybe they still do. I also tried Sylvania j box disks cause I wanted 3500k and they also had wet rated for tub and shower and didn't want to wait to order them in cree. Don't have many hours on them so can't comment on longevity other than a failed commercial electric pendant light bulb after 2 months.

You can kind of evaluate leds by warranty hours, the dimmable ones seem to be better made as well.

I have air sealed cans without boxes with 1 part and some foil tape, checks out with a blower door and it won't overheat. Can light junction box will leak a lot of air thru the conduit if you don't treat that too.
