Looking to purchase a vacation residence that is a Quanset Hut, and am having a very hard time finding any mortgage company that will do it, being there is no comparables when doing an appraisal! Any suggestions how to get one mortgaged? Any info would be helpful! Thanks.

Are quanset huts really worth much? Cant you finance the land or improved land if there are utilities in place ignoring the structure or classify it an accessory building to get some value out of it unless this is a really fancy hut. Maybe the appraiser can work with you and find you some better land comps. Try a credit union or local bank so its a little more lenient/reasonable to work with.
