Hey all, so we ended up applying aqua-bloc to our foundation wall as a water proofing. We're trying to determine the best approach for water drainage down to our rubble trench. I was thinking about burlap bags to hold the pea stone and then back filling and layering it like so. Anyone have any suggestions? Looked at j-drain/henry blue skin and some other products but with $2,000 in shipping a lone I'm seeking alternatives.

It doesn't need to be anything crazy. Put slotted drainage line around footing, then stone. If you have rubble that you are using for backfill then I would put something like vinyl siding underlayment against the waterproofing to protect it.

It would be better if you could underlay it. Vinyl siding is preferable.
