I want to build a small mud hut for saunas/sweatlodges that can fit one person. It should be pretty straightforward but Ive never built a mud hut and dont even know where to start. I would much appreciate if anyone can inform me about what materials I will need, where to get them and how to do it.
I'm thinking maybe building a small wooden structure, then cover surround it in chicken wire (metal mesh) then cover the chicken wire in mud. Is that a viable approach?
The part Im most unsure of is how to do the mud part. What kind of mud do I need and where can I get it? Im in Pucallpa in Peru so I cant find any specialty suppliers of mud building materials.
I think that the main material you need to build a mud hut is definitely cob. And, of course, you will need a lot of dedication and discipline as well!
