Have any professionals here seen this type of usage of a conventional baseboard heater? This is a 7 ft long, 2 kW (347V/5.76A) baseboard heater with a bimetallic thermostat that is installed beneath a living space. The heater runs in the winter months and heats up this cavity that exists in the ceiling of the garage (call it 3 ft at most in height). As mentioned it's a heater that's installed between a 300-450mm slab (living space on top side) - this is the underside. Beneath the heater are batts of insulation and a drop ceiling that's conventional drywall. Inevitably as the cavity heats up, warms the slab (corresponding to the floor) and it radiates into the space of the home. One gets heat transfer into the living space if the slab temperature is obviously greater than that of the living space. Link to images: https://ibb.co/ZcvmHwS https://ibb.co/PYJtZct

Link doesn't work. This would not pass code or be legal in most jurisdictions. It would also be an incredibly inefficient, high operational cost way to heat a floor. Sounds like a real hack job.
