How to insulate the interior of an old masonry brick home built in 1858 in Washington DC? There are three sides to the exterior walls. Unfortunately all the old plaster with the metal mesh and horse hair was ripped down and it is down to the studs. Spray closed cell spray foam is supposedly not good because there needs to be ability for brick to breathe. Batt insulation requires an air gap. Looking for advice on best methods.
