We ran our electrical for all our exterior walls, (ICF to the truss's) from the attic down the walls and now have water pooling in all exterior wall electrical outlet the boxes. We channelled the chase back to to the concrete and with the current cold weather (minus 18 Celsius last night, that's zero in Fahrenheit) I am concerned we may have gone too deep. Our electrician insisted on going back deep to ensure he was compliant with code, but when we channelled the chases to the concrete I could feel the cold.
We closed the chases with spray foam but are still experiencing water in the boxes.
We ran one chase just 1 inch back into the foam as it was behind a 2x6 so it
didn't need to be deep and it is the only outlet without water in it.
We have not done drywall yet thank goodness, and we are not live with power to the outlets, nor will we be until this gets sorted out.
Has anyone experienced this, and if so what is the solution?
Please and thanks, feeling foolish and rather dejected over this,
Cheers
