I am attempting to live in a new construction slab home with infloor radiant heat. My (now) ex talked me out of insulating the slab edge, there is 2" pink foam under the rest of the slab. It is the only heat source I have and I don't have alot of funds to remedy this right now. I need a temporary fix to get through the winter and straw bales aren't the answer, i'm in the woods and there are lots of rodents that would love the straw... Any suggestions?

You could put 4x8 sheets of insulation on the ground, around the perimeter. Protect them from sunlight and damage by covering them with tarps or something. Keep them nice and bury them in the spring. But mice will live under them too. No matter what, you either poison them, trap them or you will have mice. Use EPS insulation not XPS (pink stuff), EPS performs better in damp, in ground environments.
