The ASES national solar tour is coming on Saturday October 3rd, 2009, thousands of solar homes across the country will open there doors for people to come tour the homes and learn about solar energy and energy efficient buildings. Here in NE the tours are hosted by the North East Sustainable Energy Association better know as NESEA.
One home I completed early this year will be open for the event. Here is a link for those close by SE Massachusetts.

The Solar decathlon competition, hosted by the DOE and NREL and held on the national mall. Consists of 20 small homes completely powered by solar energy. This will be my second time as a member of a solar decathlon team. In 2007 I acted as the construction manager for the MIT solar decathlon entry. This year I have a much less consuming role as construction advisor and volunteer. Team Boston, (

Once there they have 8 days to reconstruct the homes and have them ready for tours on October 9th.
