Is anyone aware of the best insurance company to cover solar panels and wind turbine?  I'm trying to define "best" as cheapest most coverage + company that has been in business a while.

Talk to your Homeowners insurance agent and ask if the items are covered under your policy. You may also consider having a Personal Umbrella Policy for liability for several reasons and number one is it provides for liability coverage you may not have on a homeowners policy.

One note on Cheapest. With some insurance a policy may be specific enough to say policy cost is most important. In Homeowners more than any other insurance the policy is so vague that the company means more than cost or policy. I see it all the time where something wasn't covered by one company the same way it was covered by another and the policies were the same. I saw one company with a family member last year try to not cover a claim and bring in people to justify the decission. I see another company walk in and say how can we cover this claim. Why people buy HO on just cost has always made me wonder.
