In a recent article in the St. Pete Times, reported that the state of Florida was to renege on 52.7 million dollars in rebates to consumers that installed solar energy systems
The state has left 15,800 people holding the bag! some commercial rebates would have been as much as $100,000.

you can only borrow so much money before your credit rating is lowered. I think the worse is yet to come as far as the economy goes....Eric

Amen.  I am one of those citizens promised a rebate for installing a solar water heater.  Only $500, but we could have gotten the entire system cheaper if we had went with a local installer that wasn't 'state authorized'.  We have had nothing but trouble with the state certified one.  Wires not connected from the panel, broken thermostat, wrong insulation foam used (yes, it melted while we were away on vacation).  We have had 7 service calls in one year, and they always act like they are doing us a big favor by coming out to fix their product.

Makes you wonder why so many people are fed up!
