Uni-Solar (US company) flexible panels stuck to metal roofing make sense to me. Pricing is good.

Being a certified master solar contractor designing and installing solar PV systems for over 20 years, we have done cost analysis on thin-film systems. There is a bunch of new systems out there to include thin-film, solar shingles, etc. everyone wants to get a piece of the pie. Every system you install, you have to keep in mind what are going to be the maintenance issues in the future, how hard is it going to be to get access to the wiring, and panels for maintenance or replacement. If you are going to use standing seam roof your best bet is Unisolar because of ease of solar panel replacement and wiring access. And a last note is you are better off to laminate the solar panels to the steel roofing yourself instead of purchasing a pre-laminated product. Just my two cents worth.
