I've been looking at Tigo Maximizers and wondering if they are a worthwhile addition to my planned PV system.
Any strong opinions? As I see it they assure full output despite occasional shading or other partial obstruction in the same way as a micro inverter system but use the more economical string inverters. They also give the monitoring and failure isolation of a micro inverter system but at a cost ;lower than micro inveterrs but over the minimal string inverter system.

I keep getting them offered to me at a better and better cost but no one I know uses them and I have asked a few of the bigger installers. I just don't think they are worth the cost.
