Does anyone have experience or knowledge with windows from All Weather Windows.  I am, like others, looking for a good balance between cost and performance.  The home will be in a heating zone (Northern Ontario) so I am consiedring windows that will have a good solar gain while offering a good R ou U value.  Note the home will be an MgO EPS SIP (either 6.5 inch or 8.25 inch), with a raised heel truss (R-50 to R-60).

What are your thoughts or experiences.

Thank you in advance.

I haven't heard of this brand, but I did find one that seems to fit your needs when I was researching for our house. There was no local distributor in our area, so we ended up going a different route (the builder was freaked out about the potential for something coming in damaged & causing delays because it's not local)

Anyway, the brand is Northstar. They were vinyl, but have lots of options in glazings - double & triple pane, argon/krypton, high solar gain & low, etc., and seemed pretty reasonably priced for what you get..

Their site lists all of the specs - u-value, SHGC, etc.

also consider Kohltech.  They are made in Ontario.

I am building just north of Kenora Ontario and have looked at All Weather Windows, Geld-Wen, Farley, Accurate Dorwin, Duxton, and Loewen. All available in Winnipeg and some manufactured there. The price range is crazy considering the performance is similar, that is all except Farley who don't make a tri-pane?????
Anyway I ruled out AWW because of what I think is a overly big frame, just an aesthetic thing. There are lots of AWW (Polar Windows) in Winnipeg so I see them a lot.
I have been seriously considering Jeld-Wen purchased through Home Depot. Lifetime warranty, 5% off on orders over $10,000 AND they have a window sale twice a year that adds another 15% off (making it 20%). $$$$ talks!
I have read some negative things about Jeld-Wen but the price/warranty and performance very similar to AWW is winning me over.
