Factory rep called to say the last of my order is in so my installer will coordinate installation of 15 casement windows and 8 patio sliding doors as well as replacing all of my original masonite vertical siding with a similar style/color fiber cement product by James Hardie.  Home is a 4 level split built in '81 with Anderson windows as original.

I went with the Weathershield Endura fiberglass windows with their new highest efficiency ZO-E8 triple glaze 1-7/8" glass package for the casements.  Slider doors not available in custom sizes in fiberglass so those will be aluminum clad wood with the ZOE-6 glass package.  Why so many sliders?  We have a 4 season porch off the back of the house with dual sliders on the three exposed walls.  There is an 8 foot + slider off our family room.

A family relative works for Weathershield and was able to get us the "in family" discount (over 40% on windows, 30% on doors).

I also put in a Water Furnace Envision ND-049 dual stage geo system 2 years ago with the desuperheater for domestic hot water.

Home ownership... what a thrill, eh?

Work has begun this week.  Fortunately, we've warmed up nearly 60 degrees warmer than one week ago.  As mentioned in my previous post, James Hardie vertical siding and Weather Shield EnduraShield fiberglass casement windows, steel facia and soffit material were selected.

The windows were ordered with Weather Shield's newest ZO-E8 glass package—triple glazing with ratings of U-0.19 and SHGC-0.18.  I know some will chime in I need a far larger SHGC rating for our heating dominated climate but, the house faces west and no windows on it's southern exposure.  Our 4-season room has sliders on all 3 exterior walls and those are Weather Shield's ZO-E6 which is a single space but 3 panes of glass with the outer 2 laminated with a vinyl membrane for impact and noise resistance.  The sliders are not yet on site so I don't have the performance numbers on the ZO-E6 glazing.

I apologize if rules prohibit links to photos but below is an album of progress shots:
