The company sent me an email,  the product looks very interesting and a non- plastic product is stlll termite resistant and Fire resistant too

Chris,

Thanks for posting this link.  I noticed that this product is produced in WI.  Appears to be a great replacement for wood except that it is not structural.  Have you looked at NewWood?  See http://www.newwood.com/

Having had treated wood, plastic + wood fiber composite and tropical hardwood, I don't think I would use anything but the last one again. Or brick, stone, or redwood.

I agree , we do not often use wood for any structural components, but I do like GreenHeart lumber, Purple Heart for Exterior doors and shutters and wallaba for exterior shingles  , wallaba shingles have a beautiful natural red color, much nicer, durable and fire resistant than cedar

new wood not structural like in joists , but I might use if I needed a wood deck or wood posts
