Looks like an asphalt impregnated paper-board or press-board product but wanted to check about asbestos before tearing it off..

Note, these are not my pictures but I found exactly the same stuff yesterday evening when starting a siding project....

there are couple of non-asbestos panels, mgo board and fiber cement panels. both of them are fireproof, termite proof, mould resistance.
