So I've decided to go with Sunrise windows based on what I've read a few places. I'm going to go ahead with triple pane instead of double pane (unless someone has a good reason to only do double pane on an ICF home?). Now I need to find an efficient door that's 8' tall and has a multi-point locking mechanism. Does anyone have suggestions on a door brand? Are there any triple pane door companies? Is it worth it to do triple pane on the doors? I REALLY want to do this door, but it's specs are terrible (U-Factor = 0.40, SHGC = 0.09, VT = 0.06). https://grandentrydoors.com/andalucia-6-lite-true-divided-lite-double-entry-door/ Any suggestions would be MUCH appreciated.

It is all a wash in my book....run the numbers and payback and go with what you can afford and like.

Forum members often debate trade‑offs between upfront cost vs long‑term energy savings when considering green building components like insulating concrete forms, structural insulated panels, radiant heating, geothermal systems, etc. Common concerns include the durability of materials, climate‑specific performance (how well insulation works in very cold vs hot climates), the compatibility of new systems with existing construction, and local code requirements. Many also stress proper installation is just as important as product selection — poor sealing, thermal bridging, or wrong sizing of HVAC systems can greatly reduce expected efficiency. Finally, community feedback often emphasizes getting multiple quotes, checking references of installers familiar with sustainable systems, and calculating payback periods to decide whether investment makes sense.
