I noticed LG now has an EnergyStar gas and electric dryer.  There may be other companies.  Is there new technology  for gas now or is it just because EnergyStar just started rating dryers and LG hopped on board first? "LG Electronics is the first home appliance manufacturer to announce ENERGY STAR certified gas dryers".

Looks like with a nat gas dryer, a typical home is using less than $25/year for drying. Not enough to concern me.
