Last house I built... open cell spray foam, did the roof underside style non vented roof. Shingles measured temp increase is 5 degrees during hot summer.
I went open cell because it does not trap moisture in the OSB it is sprayed on.
I have seen lots of destroyed wood when closed cell board foam was nailed to such wood.
I do like the idea of closed cell 2lb adding strength. I don't like it or any foams cost.
All that said... my sprayer sub now has 1 pound foam...
I have an idea it might be good for a flash foam seal that breathes...and then go with wet spray cellulose.
My other trend is to just go cellulose, 12 inch I stud walls that breath both directions, dense pack.. same idea following passive house.
This thread is mainly about 1lb foam and what anyone knows about it or has experience with...
thanks

As to you blowing ins... what do you blow and do you blow dense pack cell... and do you use treated cell? Also do you blow the newer fiberglass?

I sent you a PM with my contact info. That is my name. I do cellulose and fiberglass dense pack and open blow. The dense pack can be done as spray with either fiberglass or cellulose or the walls can be covered in a prduct like insul web and blown behind it.
