A very (largest) Trane and WF dealer has had a 4 year study of Fujitsu and MitzuB MultizoneMini'splits done with the Elec Ut'y co.

It was mentioned that we will find there is NO SUPPLEMENTAL heat in even -7 below zero, windy, clear-night heating conditions.

Also noted: "since it was installed 'free', thermostats have been set very warm to 75+ in the coldest weeks, using the [mass of] home to get on through a few coldest days "  ... "all electric homes to day are over 40% more heating efficient with slightly over-sized units" [...in 4 homes, 6200 HDD , like 300 more HDD than a coldest area in Cleve.OH, but south; and  2 are "in a little colder area also without supplemental heating turned 'on' (claimed by occupants)" ]

wuzzup?

We have seen quotes of 7 cent KWH etc...
Are all considering that beyond the billable rate, there is the total billing whereas wher I live :  the extras are over 55% of the billing by KWH and therefore 7and 6 cent rates are really $ .11- $.14 today on a shown " .0546 " .
