Hello, I'm a student from the University of Reading currently studying BSc Human and Physical Geography. I am writing my dissertation on microgeneration with particular focus on what motivates as well as puts people off installing a microgeneration system in their home. I am also interested on whether those who have have invested into microgeneration feel like their investment has been worthwhile and for what reasons. I have created a questionnaire with the aims of analysing this. The questionnaire should only take a few minutes and you'll have the chance to win £20. Link to the questionnaire: https://goo.gl/forms/kCbc6U1Poy2vpfPx1 Thank you very much.

By microgeneration do you mean like sprouts? If so I have produced quite the lot and doing it yourself cuts the cost like 90% of what stores sell sprouts for.
Image you are the earth. How would you like to be treated?

Microgeneration: Basically small scale/personal installs of green power systems. Such as putting solar panels on your roof, or putting in a wind turbine on your property.

Micro cogeneration is about using engines to generate both heat and electricity for single/multi family homes or small office buildings in the range to about 50 kW. Local cogeneration of heat and electricity has the potential for higher energy efficiency than traditional grid generation since it lacks the 8-10% energy losses from transporting electricity over long distances.
