Building a superinsulated ICF home with geothermal in Cleveland.  The spray foam installer I was recommended suggested that an unvented attic space was the way to go.

When I went to read about it - most websites stated that this was really good in the hot humid areas like Florida - but there is not as much data (at least that I could find) that it was the way to go in my climate (i.e. mostly heating climate albeit hot and humid for 3 months.)

Should I reallly bother to do it this new innovative way when I am not in the typical climate that it was developed for?   Todd

Todd,
Here's what the pros, Building Sciences, recommend.

Good Luck!
....jc<br>If you're not building with OSB SIPS(or ICF's), why are you building?
